Louis-AL Browns outscored the New York-NL Giants 8 to 5.

St. Louis-AL scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning with the help of 3 hits.  They
ended up being the winning runs.  New York-NL threatened in the 9th but St.
Louis-AL was able to put down the rally.  

Ray Caldwell(6-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 4 runs. Hank Robinson earned the save, his 23rd.  Pete
