Fred Luderus smacked 2 triples and had 3 RBI and George Kahler had an
impressive outing as the New York-NL Giants defeated the Detroit Tigers 6 to
4 at Navin Field.
Detroit never recovered after New York-NL took the lead in the top of the 2nd
inning when they scored 2 runs on 3 hits. Kahler came throught with a
perfect ninth inning to earn his 1st save.
Bob Groom(6-5) went 6 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Bob Harmon(2-10)
was the losing pitcher. He pitched 6 innings allowing 8 hits and 1 walk.
