Third baseman Mike Mowrey had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the Pittsburgh Rebels beat
the Buffalo Blues by a score of 9 to 3.

Mowrey propelled Pittsburgh to victory.  He doubled bringing in two
baserunners in the 4th inning, doubled which plated a run in the 6th inning,
hit a single scoring two baserunners in the 7th inning and doubled bringing
in a run in the 9th inning.  Pittsburgh rapped out 14 hits for the afternoon.

Cy Barger(6-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 2 runs. The losing pitcher was Al Schulz(7-10).  He was unable to
control the Pittsburgh offense and allowed 13 hits and 5 walks in 8 and 2/3
innings.  

'They made a couple of mistakes and I took full advantage,' Mowrey said 'next
time I'm sure they'll pitch me tougher.'
