The Cincinnati Reds tallied 7 runs in the 5th inning and cruised to a 13 to 7
victory over the New York-AL Yankees at Crosley Field.

Ted Kluszewski had a good day at the plate.  He doubled scoring a run in the
1st inning and clubbed a two-run home run in the 5th inning.  New York-AL
out-hit Cincinnati 19 to 15, but Cincinnati ended up with more runs.

Jackie Collum(2-1) got the win allowing 1 run in 3 and 1/3 innings. Carl
Erskine(4-7) was hit with the loss.  He gave up 6 hits and 4 walks in 1
inning.
