Bill Hawke completed the game without help from the bullpen and Heinie Reitz
had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Louisville
Colonels by a score of 7 to 5.

Baltimore had 5 runs cross the plate in the 3rd inning with the help of 4
hits.  That early scoring was all that Hawke(2-4) needed.  Baltimore rapped
out 14 hits for the afternoon.  

Scott Stratton(6-7) ended up with the loss.  He was unable to control the
Baltimore offense and allowed 14 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings.  

'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Hawke said,
'this was one of those times.'
