Third baseman Buck Herzog connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI and Harry
McIntire shut St. Louis-AL down at Sportsman'S Park where the Brooklyn
Dodgers beat the St. Louis-AL Browns by the score of 7 to 6.

Brooklyn came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 8th inning
scoring 3 runs utilizing 3 base hits.  After two outs Johnny Kling opened up
the rally as he doubled.  Mickey Doolin was next and he doubled which scored
a run.  Herzog then lifted one out of the park for a two run home run.  St.
Louis-AL went down without a fight in the bottom of the 9th.  

Sam Leever(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. McIntire got the
save, his 9th.  George Mullin(3-4) was tagged with the loss.  He was touched
for 11 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
