Heinie Zimmerman smacked 2 triples and had 2 RBI as the Washington Nationals
topped the Brooklyn Dodgers by a score of 11 to 5 at Griffith
Stadium.

Washington tallied 7 runs in the 4th inning when they came up with 7 base
hits.  The highlight belonged to Zimmerman who electrified Griffith Stadium
when he tripled bringing home two baserunners.  Overall Washington out-hit
Brooklyn 17 to 10.  

The victory was credited to Jack Coombs(7-10) who went 8 innings, allowing 5
runs. Tom Seaton(2-2) was the losing pitcher.  Washington scored big getting
8 runs off him in 4 innings.
