Sailor Stroud had an impressive outing as the New York Giants topped the
Boston Braves by a score of 2 to 1 at Polo Grounds.

New York scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with the help of 3
hits. The big moment was provided by Dave Robertson who made the home-town
crowd a happy bunch when he smacked a single scoring two baserunners. The
game was a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.

Stroud(2-3) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Dick Rudolph(9-4)
suffered the loss. George Stallings lamented, 'Stroud was really aggressive
today. He kept coming after our hitters. Heck, why not. he kept sitting our
guys down one after another - like so many bowling pins!'
