Right fielder Jack Tobin had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Bob Groom went 9 strong
innings as the St. Louis Terriers defeated the Buffalo Blues by a score of 5
to 4 at Federal Lg Ball Park.

St. Louis won the game with a run in the 9th inning.  Larue Kirby singled.
Russ Ford then threw a pitch that the catcher muffed.  Babe Borton then laced
a base-knock.  After an out was recorded, Grover Hartley came to bat and
smacked a single scoring the run.  Buffalo went down quietly in the bottom of
the 9th.  

Groom(4-8), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Ford(4-9) was
the losing pitcher.  He was hit hard and gave up 16 hits and 2 walks in 8 and
1/3 innings.
