Bill Stearns had a complete game and Everett Mills had 3 base hits as the
Washington Olympics bested the Chicago White Stockings 12 to 7 at Lake
Park.

Washington scored 5 runs in the decisive 3rd inning with the help of 4 hits.
They would hold up as the winning runs.  Chicago scored in 6 different
innings, but their shaky pitching kept them from victory.  

Stearns(2-0) got the victory, allowing 7 runs for the game. George
Zettlein(5-7) was hit with the loss.  He allowed Washington 12 runs in 9
innings of work.
