2,430 fans watched an exciting game at Eclipse Park.  The Louisville Colonels
topped the St. Louis Browns by the slimmest of margins, 2 to 1.

The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings.  Louisville won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning.  Ben Sanders hit a single.  John Grim next
to the plate and he smacked a single.  Two outs later Scott Stratton came to
the plate and doubled resulting in an exciting win for Louisville and a wild
post-game celebration by the home town fans.  The teams had been locked in a
scoreless duel until the 6th inning.  

Jouett Meekin(6-12) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Pretzels
Getzien(1-6) suffered the loss.  He gave up 12 hits and 3 walks in 10 and 2/3
innings.
