Ralph Kiner connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI and Ken Raffensberger was
able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at
Connie Mack Stadium as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Philadelphia-AL Athletics
9 to 2.

Cincinnati had 4 runs cross the plate in the top of the 6th inning when they
had 4 base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Jackie Robinson who
helped quiet the crowd when he lined a single which was good for two runs.
Cincinnati totaled 17 hits on the afternoon.  

Raffensberger(4-6) allowed 2 runs on the game. The loss was charged to Johnny
Antonelli(1-5).  He was knocked around by Cincinnati, allowing 9 hits and 3
walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
