Charlie Buffinton threw a 3 hitter at Olympic Park as the powerful Boston
Beaneaters beat the Buffalo Bisons by the count of 4 to 2.
Buffinton(17-7) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Buffalo offense.
He allowed only 3 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Boston banged out 11 hits on
the afternoon.
Pud Galvin(13-9) was the losing pitcher. Boston won for the 6th straight
time. 'I'm glad to get the win', Buffinton said. 'We've got some good
momentum going now.'
