In a dramatic ending, the New York-AL Highlanders staged a comeback win over
the New York-NL Giants by the count of 7 to 6.

New York-AL had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs.
After two were out Bill Dahlen initiated the scoring spurt when he drew a
walk. Fred Tenney stepped into the batter's box and he drew a walk. Nap
Lajoie then drew a walk to load the bases. Socks Seybold stepped in and he
lashed a single making New York-AL the victors to the delight of the home
town faithful. Both teams totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.

Roscoe Miller(2-0) was the winner allowing 1 run in 2 innings. The losing
pitcher was Bill Bernhard(1-4) in relief. New York-AL knocked him around a
bit, as he gave up 3 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.

Rich O'Haire was in great spirits in his post-game interview. Yet, when asked
about his feelings after the thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered,
'I'll tell you this much - I know how my counterpart, Brian Capsello, feels
right now - and it's not very good. It's terrible when you come up on the
short end of one of these!'
