New York-NL erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 9th inning with 3 runs on 3 base hits. After two outs Chris Lindsay initiated the scoring spurt when he delivered a base-hit. Danny Green followed next and he drew a walk. Wagner then doubled which scored a run. Cy Seymour stepped in and he doubled accounting for two more runs. New York-NL had 9 hits for the afternoon.
