Honus Wagner had 2 base hits at American League Park as the New York-NL Giants
staged a comeback win over the Washington Nationals by the count of 4 to
3.

New York-NL erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
with 3 runs on 3 base hits.  After two outs Chris Lindsay initiated the
scoring spurt when he delivered a base-hit.  Danny Green followed next and he
drew a walk.  Wagner then doubled which scored a run.  Cy Seymour stepped in
and he doubled accounting for two more runs.  New York-NL had 9 hits for the
afternoon.  

Orval Overall(3-6) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Togie Pittinger
gained credit for his 2nd save.  Charlie Chech(5-9) was given the loss.  He
surrendered 8 hits and 2 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.  

'We just kept swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Wagner said. 'If you just
keep trying good things can happen!'
