Stuffy McInnis had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Sportsman'S Park where the St.
Louis-AL Browns beat the Boston-AL Red Sox by the score of 10 to 7.

St. Louis-AL jumped out to the early lead in the first inning when they
tallied 3 runs on 5 hits.  Boston-AL had a chance to come back in the 9th but
they came up short.  

Ed Walsh(11-8) was the winner allowing 7 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Claude
Hendrix gained credit for his 24th save.  Fred Olmstead(0-1) suffered the
loss.  He allowed 9 runs and 9 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.  

'You have to give Boston-AL credit, they fought us tough to the end' Tim
Singer said.  'It could have gone either way, but I'm glad we pulled out the
victory.'
