Jack Tobin had 4 hits and 5 RBI and Dave Davenport allowed Fielder Jones to
rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the St. Louis Terriers defeated
the Buffalo Blues 9 to 1 at Federal Lg Ball Park.

Tobin had a big day against Buffalo.  He slapped a one-base hit in the 3rd
inning, slapped a single in the 5th inning, doubled emptying the bases in the
6th inning and delivered a base-hit bringing in two baserunners in the 8th
inning.  St. Louis managed 14 hits in their victory.  

Davenport(7-7) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. The losing
pitcher was Hugh Bedient(3-9).  He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits and 4 walks
in 7 innings.
