The Cincinnati Reds easily topped the Philadelphia-AL Athletics; the final
score was 10 to 4.

Warren Hacker(5-4) gave a fine effort for Cincinnati.  He went 6 innings
surrendering 4 hits and no walks.  Cincinnati had 11 hits for the night while
Philadelphia-AL had 8.  

Hacker was helped out by Preacher Roe who recorded his 8th save.  The losing
pitcher was Bob Kuzava(4-6).  He allowed 6 runs and 7 hits in 7 and 2/3
innings.
