Monte Cross had 2 base hits and 4 RBI and Pink Hawley had a complete game as
the Pittsburg Pirates bested the Cleveland Spiders 14 to 9 at League
Park.

Hawley(15-7) had a steady outing.  He went 9 innings surrendering 12 hits and
6 walks.  Pittsburg had 16 hits for the afternoon.  

Bobby Wallace(7-10) was charged with the loss.  He allowed a few too many
