Eddie Plank completed the game without help from the bullpen and right fielder
Socks Seybold had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Columbia Park where the
Philadelphia Athletics beat the Baltimore Orioles in 10 innings by the score
of 3 to 2.

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings.  Finally, Philadelphia pulled
the game out in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Harry Davis
ripped a base-hit.  Lave Cross followed next and he smacked a single.
Seybold then delivered a one-base hit resulting in an exciting win for
Philadelphia and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.
Philadelphia banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.  

The win was credited to Plank(9-7) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs. Joe
McGinnity(10-8) was charged with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing
13 hits and 2 walks in 9 and 1/3 innings.
