Buck Herzog hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI at Washington Park where the streaking
Brooklyn Dodgers beat the Boston-AL Red Sox by the score of 11 to
5.

Boston-AL was unable to climb back into it after Brooklyn went ahead for good
in the 4th inning as they scored 4 runs on 3 base hits. The key offensive
moment was provided by George Suggs who brought a roar from the partisan
Washington Park fans when he hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his
teammates. Brooklyn had 14 hits for the game and Boston-AL had 7.

The victory went to Suggs(8-10) who went 7 innings, allowing 5 runs. Chief
Bender(3-5) was the losing pitcher. He got hit hard, allowing 14 hits and 2
walks in 8 innings.
