Byron Houck was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at Griffith Stadium where the Philadelphia Athletics beat the
Washington Nationals 5 to 4.

Philadelphia tallied 2 runs in the 6th inning. Eddie Collins kicked off the
action when he reached on an error.  Collins proceeded to steal third base.
Home Run Baker then delivered a base-hit which scored a run.  Stuffy McInnis
stepped in and he slapped a single.  Philadelphia continued their aggressive
style with another stolen base scoring the final run of the inning.
Philadelphia banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.  

Houck(5-0), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Tom
Hughes(5-5) took the loss.  Philadelphia now has a record of 42-23.  With the
loss Washington now has a record of 37-33.
