Davy Force had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Jefferson St Grounds where the
Baltimore C Canaries beat the Philadelphia W Whites in 10 innings 14 to
12.

Both teams had scored 12 runs after nine full innings.  Finally, Baltimore C
prevailed in the 10th inning.  Force led off and he reached on an error.
George Hall followed and he reached on an error.  Everett Mills then hit a
deep fly bringing in a run.  Tom York came up and he smacked a single scoring
the final run of the inning.  Although they lost, Philadelphia W did out-hit
Baltimore C 18 to 11.  

The win was credited to Asa Brainard(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing no runs.
George Zettlein(14-12) was the losing pitcher.  It was a tough loss for him
as he did not allow an earned run in his 10 innings of work.
