Charlie Ferguson was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Philadelphia Quakers beat the reeling Buffalo Bisons by
a score of 10 to 5.

Buffalo never recovered after Philadelphia took the lead in the 2nd inning
when they tallied 2 runs on 3 hits.  Philadelphia finished with 16 hits in
the victory.  

The winning pitcher was Ferguson(11-5) who allowed 5 runs for the game. Pud
Galvin(11-14) was the loser.  Philadelphia scored big getting 10 runs off him
in 7 and 2/3 innings.  

Center fielder Hardy Richardson cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI in a losing
cause for Buffalo.
