Mike Sullivan was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Malachi Kittridge had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago
Colts defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 10 to 6 at West Side
Park.

Chicago jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring 2 runs.
Jimmy Cooney led off the inning for Chicago when he was hit by a pitch.
Cliff Carroll was the next batter, but he struck out.  Walt Wilmot then drew
a walk.  Cap Anson stepped in and he reached on an error.  Tom Burns came to
the plate and delivered a base-hit scoring two teammates.  Chicago managed 13
hits in their victory.  

Sullivan(5-5) allowed 6 runs on the game. Bill Day(0-1) was given the loss.
He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 13 hits and 8 walks in 8
innings.
