Brooklyn came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Jake Daubert was the sparkplug when he reached on an error. Jack Dalton was next and he doubled driving in a run. Zack Wheat then drew a walk. George Cutshaw stepped in and he delivered a one-base hit plating one more runner. After another out, Red Smith came to bat and reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning. Brooklyn rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon. The victory was credited to Aitchison(4-5) who went the distance, allowing 4 runs. Dick Crutcher(6-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings. Brooklyn now has a record of 27-35. Boston has a record of 38-26 after the loss.
