without help from the bullpen at Wrigely Field where the New York-AL Yankees
beat the Chicago-NL Cubs by the score of 11 to 6.
New York-AL claimed the early lead in the first inning when they scored 5 runs
on 5 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Smoky Burgess who helped
quiet the crowd when he delivered a single which was good for two runs. New
York-AL had a total of 15 hits for the game.
