TEAM RISP- Quakers: 6 for 19 White Stockings: 5 for 21

Abner Dalrymple ripped 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Larry Corcoran completed
the game without help from the bullpen as the Chicago White Stockings bested
the Philadelphia Quakers 13 to 9 at Lake Front Park.

It seemed that Philadelphia pitching was serving up softballs for Dalrymple to
hit. He hit a single in the 1st inning, smashed a two-run homer in the 4th
inning and belted a three-run homer in the 7th inning. Due to a poorly
pitched ballgame, scoring in 6 different innings was still not enough for
Philadelphia to come away with the victory.

Corcoran(14-9), allowing 9 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Charlie
Ferguson(10-15) was given the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 8 innings of
work.

'I didn't feel that good when I came to the park today,' Dalrymple said. 'I'm
glad I decided to play!'
