Hub Collins had 4 hits and scored 5 times and John Ewing was able to finish
what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Louisville
Colonels smashed the overmatched Baltimore Orioles, 19 to 3.

Collins enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He doubled in the 1st inning,
doubled in the 3rd inning, tripled in the 5th inning and slapped a single
resulting in a run in the 5th inning.  Louisville provided plenty of action
in the 5th inning which saw them score 7 runs on 7 hits, the 7th inning with
4 runs and the 8th inning tallying 4 runs.  Louisville had many opportunities
throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.  

The win was credited to Ewing(2-0) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs.
Matt Kilroy(2-11) ended up with the loss.  He was knocked around by
Louisville, allowing 16 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
