complete game at League Park as the Cincinnati Reds beat the floundering
Boston Beaneaters 6 to 5.

Cincinnati did all the necessary damage in the 4th inning as they scored 6
runs on 4 base hits. Boston threatened in the 9th but their rally came up
short.

The victory went to Chamberlain(12-10) who went the distance allowing 5 runs.
Kid Nichols(9-9) was tagged with the loss. 'I struggled a bit out there
today,' Chamberlain said, 'but I toughed it out and we got the win.'
