The score was tied at 6 after nine. New York won it in the 11th inning. After
two outs Fred Tenney slapped a one-base hit. Larry Doyle followed and he
laced a base-hit. Roger Bresnahan then doubled resulting in an exciting win
for New York and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. It
was roller coaster of a game as the lead change hands 6 times.
Hooks Wiltse(16-1) allowed 3 runs in 4 innings, and picked up the victory. Lew
Moren(4-11) was tagged with the loss in relief. He gave up 4 hits and 1 walk
