In a good matchup it was the potent Philadelphia-AL Athletics 7, the reeling
Washington Nationals 4 at Columbia Park.

Philadelphia-AL went ahead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning plating an
isolated run.  After an out was recorded, Solly Hofman reached on an error.
After another out, Eddie Cicotte then bounced one in the dirt for a wild
pitch scoring the run.  Philadelphia-AL had a total of 8 hits for the game.

The victory went to Jack Rowan(2-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs. Doc
White recorded the save, his 10th.  Cicotte(6-5) took the loss.
