Ray Fisher allowed New York's manager to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game at Shibe Park where the New York Highlanders beat the Philadelphia
Athletics in 10 innings by the score of 2 to 1.

The score was tied at 1 after nine.  New York came out on top in the 10th
inning.  John Knight ripped a single.  One out later, Fisher came up and he
laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Bert Daniels then slapped a single scoring the
run.  Daniels took second on the throw.  New York had only 6 hits for the
afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Fisher(1-0) who allowed 1 run for the game. Jimmy
Dygert(0-3) was hit with the loss.  He allowed 6 hits and 3 walks in 10
innings.
