Earl Moore completed the game without help from the bullpen at South End
Grounds as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Boston Doves by the count of 10
to 4.

Eddie Grant enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He doubled bringing home two
baserunners in the 1st inning and clubbed a three-run home run in the 4th
inning.  Philadelphia had 13 hits for the afternoon.  

Moore(7-6) finished the game allowing 4 runs in the victory. Sam Frock(6-6)
was the loser.  He was touched for 12 hits and 5 walks in 8 innings.
