Hub Perdue shutout Brooklyn while allowing the Boston bullpen a day-off and
Doc Miller had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Washington Park as the Boston
Rustlers beat the Brooklyn Superbas by the count of 5 to 0.

Perdue(1-2) was solid in the win.  He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and 1
walk in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.62 to 2.72.  Boston banged out
13 hits on the afternoon.  

The losing pitcher was Bill Schardt(4-7).  He was hit hard and gave up 13 hits
and 5 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
