In a one-sided affair the New York-NL Giants batters pounded the
Philadelphia-AL Athletics pitchers for 18 runs while Pete Alexander(12-8)with
the help of the bullpen allowed Philadelphia-AL 6 runs.

Honus Wagner enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He doubled in the 4th inning,
lined a base-hit plating two runs in the 9th inning and doubled which was
good for two runs in the 9th inning.  New York-NL bats were very productive
in the 7th inning which saw them score 5 runs on 5 hits and the 9th inning
when they had 11 runs on 6 hits.  New York-NL had a total of 16 hits for the
game.  

Barney Pelty(5-4) took the loss.
