Baseballs were flying all over the ballpark as the Boston-NL Braves ran
roughshod over the seemingly hapless Washington Nationals. The Boston-NL
offense rolled up a total of 14 runs!.

Jimmy Sheckard provided much of the offense. He laced a base-hit in the 3rd
inning, doubled plating a run in the 3rd inning and clubbed a three-run home
run in the 8th inning. Boston-NL finished with 16 hits while Washington
ended up with 12.

The victory was credited to Dixie Walker(3-1) who went 7 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 6 runs. Bill Steele(6-8) was given the loss. He was knocked around
by Boston-NL, allowing 12 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
