Center fielder Herbie Moran had 3 base hits as the Brooklyn Superbas topped
the New York Giants by a score of 4 to 2 at Polo Grounds.

Brooklyn went ahead for good in the 5th inning scoring a single run using 2
hits.  Otto Miller doubled.  Eddie Stack was next to bat, but he was a
strikeout victim.  Moran then ripped a single.  Bill Dahlen then called for a
steal which was successful.  Brooklyn had 9 hits for the afternoon.

Stack(4-5) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. Earl Yingling
preserved the game for Stack, recording his his 1st save.  Hooks Wiltse(3-3)
was given the loss.  

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Stack, 'I got burned on
a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
