Earl Moseley shutout Chicago while allowing the Indianapolis bullpen a day-off
as the Indianapolis Hoosiers pulled out a win over the Chicago club by a
score of 1 to 0 at Greenlawn Park.

The deciding run was scored by Indianapolis in the bottom of the 9th.  Benny
Kauff laced a single.  After an out was recorded, Bill Phillips then called
for a steal which was successful.  Charlie Carr then banged out a single
giving Indianapolis the victory as 3,595 happy fans celebrated wildly.
Chicago had 8 hits in the game while Indianapolis had 4, but Indianapolis had
the more timely hits.  

Moseley(8-4) was credited with the shutout. Dave Black(3-3) suffered the loss
in relief.  He pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up 2 hits and no walks.
