George Davis slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Cy Seymour carried a
no-hitter into the 6th inning at Polo Grounds where the New York Giants beat
the ice-cold Brooklyn Bridegrooms 9 to 3.

Davis helped send the fans home happy. He lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run in the 1st inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the
5th inning. New York managed 13 hits in their victory.

Seymour(7-4) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. The
left-handed Seymour lost his chance for a no-hitter when Brickyard Kennedy
tripled with two outs in the 6th inning. Kennedy(8-9) was the loser. He
allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 13 hits and 5 walks in 8
innings.

With this win, New York has a 34-22 record. They have been 7-3 lately. Not
able to get much going in recent weeks, Brooklyn is 0-10 of late and now has
an overall record of 27-32.
