The St. Louis-AL Browns tallied 4 runs in the 5th inning and readily handled
Washington Nationals by a score of 10 to 6 at Griffith Stadium.

St. Louis-AL scored 4 runs in the decisive top of the 5th inning when they had
4 base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Clyde Milan who deflated the
crowd as he clubbed a two-run home run.  St. Louis-AL ended up with 16 hits
for the game while Washington had 11.  

The victory went to Claude Hendrix(12-11) who went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Hendrix got help from Hank Robinson who was credited with his 33rd save.
Eddie Cicotte(3-6) absorbed the loss.  He allowed St. Louis-AL 7 runs in 5
and 2/3 innings of work.
