Ed Walsh recorded a complete game shutout and Ping Bodie had 3 base hits at
Comiskey Park where the Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Naps by the
score of 6 to 0.

Walsh(1-0) contributed a very nicely pitched game.  He didn't give up much,
just 5 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings.  Chicago totaled 10 hits on the
afternoon.  

Rip Hagerman(5-9) absorbed the loss.  It was a tough loss for him as he did
not allow an earned run in his 6 innings of work.
