and was credited with a complete game at Bank Street Grounds where the Boston
Red Stockings beat the Cincinnati Reds by the score of 5 to 4.
Bond(13-10) pitched a fine game. He was reached for 14 hits and no walks in 9
innings. Cincinnati made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.
Will White(10-16) was charged with the loss. 'I was a little good, a little
bad and a little ugly.' said Bond, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
