Rube Waddell pitched 9 strong innings as the Boston-AL Americans defeated the
Cincinnati Reds by the score of 10 to 1 at Palace Of The Fans.

Boston-AL jumped on top to stay in the 4th inning when they scored 4 runs on 5
hits. The highlight belonged to Emmett Heidrick who silenced Palace Of The
Fans as he ripped a base-knock which was good for two runs. Boston-AL banged
out 17 hits on the afternoon.

Waddell(15-5), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Cy
Falkenberg(2-2) was charged with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 9
hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.

Doug Hatch was obviously impressed with the pitching of Waddell, 'That guy
made us look a little silly out there this afternoon. We just couldn't get
to him at all - everything was working for him. I just hope that he got that
kinda performance out of his system.'
