Harry Lumley had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Irv Young tossed a complete game as the
New York-NL Giants defeated the Philadelphia-NL Phillies 10 to 3 at Baker
Bowl.

Lumley had a good day at the plate.  He lined a one-base hit which brought
home a run in the 1st inning, clubbed a solo home run in the 3rd inning,
laced a single in the 5th inning and doubled in the 7th inning.  New York-NL
totaled 16 hits on the afternoon.  

Young(10-3) was the winner allowing 3 runs for the game. Barney Pelty(4-14)
was charged with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 13 hits and 2
walks in 7 innings.
