2,488 fans watched an exciting game at Huntington Ave Grnds.  The Boston-AL
Americans snapped a 5 game losing streak and topped the reeling St. Louis-AL
Browns by the slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.

The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings.  Boston-AL came out on top in
the 16th inning.  Claude Ritchey got things going when he drew a walk.  After
an out was recorded, Dave Brain came up and he lined a one-base hit.  One out
later, Lew Ritter then tripled scoring a run.  Chief Bender followed and he
banged out a single giving Boston-AL the victory as 2,488 happy fans
celebrated wildly.  Boston-AL managed 12 hits in their victory.  

The victory was credited to Bender(5-5) who went 4 innings, allowing 1 run.
Beany Jacobson(0-2) was the loser in relief.  He allowed 3 hits and 1 walk in
1 and 2/3 innings.
