WEB GEMS- Top 1st: Roy Hartzell robbed Doc Gessler of a base hit.

Left fielder Moose McCormick jacked one out of the ballyard and had 4 RBI as
the Philadelphia-NL Phillies man-handled the hapless Boston-AL Red Sox - the
final score was 13 to 2.

McCormick was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine
day at their team's expense. He doubled in the 1st inning, slapped a
base-hit which scored a run in the 3rd inning and popped a two-run clout over
the fence in the 7th inning. Philadelphia-NL finished with 15 hits while
Boston-AL ended up with 6.

Art Fromme(13-5) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Bill
Donovan(1-3) was the loser. He got hit hard, allowing 11 hits and 4 walks in
5 innings.
