Right fielder Jesse Burkett hit 2 doubles at Polo Grounds where the New York
Giants beat the Chicago Colts in 14 innings 6 to 5.

The score was tied at 5 after nine. New York came out the victor in the 14th
inning. After an out was recorded, Artie Clarke smacked a single, and an
error was also committed. Clarke proceeded to steal third base. Mike
Tiernan then drew a walk. New York continued their aggressive style with
another stolen base. Jack Glasscock came up to bat and laced a one-base hit
resulting in a mighty exciting win for New York and the 668 home town fans in
attendance. A wild affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

The win was credited to Burkett(2-7) who went 2 innings allowing no runs. The
loss was charged to Pat Luby(2-5). New York extended their winning streak to
6 games. Jim Mutrie was happy with his team's performance of late - 'They're
playing solid ball right now' he said. 'Let's hope they can stay focused.'
