King Kelly smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Jack Stivetts pitched a 3
hitter at Eclipse Park as the Boston Beaneaters beat the Louisville Colonels
by the count of 7 to 1.

Kelly had a big day against Louisville.  He smashed a two-run homer in the 4th
inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 6th inning and singled in
the 7th inning.  Boston had 12 hits for the afternoon.  

Stivetts(14-8) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. George
Hemming(2-2) absorbed the loss.  By surrending 7 runs in 9 innings his ERA
jumped from 3.00 to 3.46.  

The Boston ballclub's record now stands at 38-33.  Not able to get much going
in recent weeks, Louisville is 2-8 of late and now has an overall record of
27-46.
