Right fielder Fred Odwell collected 2 extra-base hits and Jake Weimer pitched
a complete game at Robison Field as the Cincinnati Reds beat the St. Louis
Cardinals by the count of 10 to 5.

Cincinnati took the lead off Fred Beebe in the first inning when they came up
with 4 runs on 3 hits.  The highlight belonged to Jim Delahanty who silenced
Robison Field as he doubled bringing home two baserunners.  Cincinnati had a
total of 14 hits for the game.  

The victory was credited to Weimer(10-7) who went the distance, allowing 5
runs. Beebe(5-2) absorbed the loss.  He was unable to control the Cincinnati
offense and allowed 12 hits and 5 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
